Recapture Los Angeles’ Flow: Concepts of Urban Rainwater Capture

Abril 27, 2019
3 PM - 5 PM
Public Programs
Workshops
Gratis

Patty Chang’s work in The Wandering Lake, 2009–2017 reflects on water’s flow as it is lost and gained over time. Saturate, an environmental advocacy organization, will lead a design workshop and discussion that explores processes for harvesting rainfall in Los Angeles’s urban landscape. Learn about how our city handles rainfall and create your own site plan that efficiently captures rainwater for your home, business, and/or garden.

About Saturate
Saturate began as a weekly email dispatch to help communities counter drought conditions. It continues its advocacy and service offerings with a focus on ecologically-driven garden maintenance and planting. Soil health, responsible irrigation practices, proper pruning, and thoughtful plant choices are some of the ways Saturate commits to doing what’s good for the planet. Saturate strives to empower people to implement the right solutions and choose conscious land care practices that prioritize natural resilience, environmental harmony, and joyful living.

Max Kanter, co-founder of Saturate and workshop leader, is dedicated to land-care in Southern California. Through his work at such environmental organizations and businesses as Food Forward, Good Eggs, and Saturate, Max has maintained a focus on creating a healthy and abundant urban ecology in Los Angeles.
