Join artist Mimi Lauter for an intimate Point-of-View Tour of Martín Ramírez: His Life in Pictures, Another Interpretation. The LA-based artist will elaborate on her personal connection to Ramírez’s body of drawings, calling on her own experience as a painter working between landscape and abstraction to shed new light on Ramírez’s enigmatic compositions.
Mimi Lauter (b. 1982) creates large-scale works in pastel and oil that combine vivid colors and esoteric imagery to evoke landscapes and the space of the subconscious. She lives and works in Los Angeles, and has exhibited with Marc Selwyn, Tif Sigfrids, and Shane Campbell Gallery. Lauter was also a contributor to the Hammer Museum’s 2012 Made in LA.
