#LA Spanish-language children’s bookstore @lalibreria will lead a bilingual storybook reading and workshop with @bookartsla today @theicala #dtla. ‘Migrar’ (Migrant), by José Manuel Mateo, is a story about a young boy and his family’s migration from #Mexcio to the United States - the book unfolds like an accordion revealing the story through beautiful illustrations, evoking pre-Columbian Mayan codices. A bookmaking workshop by @bookartsla will use papel amaté - a #paper made from tree bark.
