Zach Gotler was introduced to Afro-Cuban percussion and jazz drumset by master musician Angel Luís Figueroa in Los Angeles. At the University of Califonia, Berkeley, he was part of UC Berkeley Jazz and a member of the Lagos Roots Afrobeat Band. In 2020, he composed a new score for Marcel Duchamp’s Anemic Cinema for Loud Cinema at Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture, San Francisco.
