A stage actress with the Parisian Comédie-Française; a Dadaist and New York bohemian who edited The Blind Man with Marcel Duchamp; a devoted follower of spiritual guru Jiddu Krishnamurti at Ojai; and a model for the character Rose in Titanic: throughout her many incarnations, Beatrice Wood (1893–1998) continued to produce important work right up until her death at the age of 105.
