Inviting artists and cultural producers into his work, Rafa Esparza questions artistic authorship. In ‘de la Calle’, the artist has employed a team of collaborators from #LA, #NewYork and #Mexico to work on site in our Project Room. Mexico native Victor Barragán, founder of his eponymous #fashion label, is one of the collaborators who will contribute to the project’s performance event next month in Santee Alley, an open-air market in #LosAngeles’s Fashion District. Currently on view in the Project Room @theicala is a @barragannnn x @elrafaesparzxa ’17 tee - the original ink drawing by the artist is also on display.
