Composer and guitarist Anthony Wilson explores the fleeting intimacies of the everyday as he steps beyond the jazz idiom into a personal world of sound and images. Songs and Photographs comes from his daily activity of wandering with a 35mm camera and notebook until lines from one place and time find their partners in lines from another place and time, melodies appear, rhymes and meters coalesce, and harmonies resolve themselves into a work for the ears and eyes. Musicians: Anthony Wilson (guitar and vocals), Gerald Clayton (piano), Joshua Crumbly (bass), Patrick Warren (keyboards), and Jay Bellerose (percussion). Produced by Joe Harley.
This edition encompasses a 180g vinyl LP and a 48-page photobook in a sleeve; includes a download card for the digital album.
