An Attempt at a «Compositionist Manifesto» by Bruno Latour

Written as an essay, An Attempt at a «Compositionist Manifesto» responds to the need of treating the manifesto as a genre of its own.

Using The Communist Manifesto as a model, Latour constructs a manifesto using the different meanings of the word “compose” in order to think about a new world: one that is composed and decomposed into heterogeneous elements.

For the author, the manifesto is the foundation of the world that we need to imagine.
